Our Story
It started in 2008 when Banff didn’t have affordable clothing options.
Sherry McEwen and friends were trying to get together for a clothing swap. None of them worked before 3pm and still they couldn’t meet up at the same time. Sherry thought to herself, “If only there was a place we could leave our stuff so that we could visit on our own time.” Wait a minute…. that’s like a thrift store. Banff doesn’t have a thrift store…
Sherry had an indepth understanding of the used clothing world. She grew up in the early 80s and wore almost exclusively secondhand her entire life. Her knowledge of the underground supply chains helped foster strong supplier relationships before the 2020 vintage explosion.
We believe in a cirular economy. We host free clothing swaps to give back to the community that gave so much to us! Well made clothing can last several lifetimes and do so much good if you let it. :)
